In short: the Islamic Studies Library app and this website do not ask for your name, e-mail or any account, do not show advertising, and do not sell or share personal data. Books you save for offline reading stay on your own device.
This policy covers the website islamicstudies.info and the Android app
Islamic Studies Library (package info.islamicstudies.app), which opens the same
website in an app window.
1. Information we do not collect
- No sign-up or account — there is nothing to register for.
- No name, e-mail address, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
- The app asks for no special phone permissions.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
2. What is stored on your device
To make the library work, a few things are kept only on your own phone or computer, inside the browser storage used by the app. They are never sent to us:
- Books you save for offline reading — the PDF or text pages you tap “Save” on, and the list of what you saved.
- Your dark / light mode choice.
- A copy of the library page and the PDF viewer, so the app can open without internet.
You can remove saved books at any time from the ★ Saved page. Uninstalling the app, or clearing the site data in your browser settings, removes everything.
3. Server logs
Like every website, our web hosting server automatically records basic technical details when a page or file is requested — for example the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser type. These logs are used only to keep the website running and secure, and are not used to identify visitors or shared for marketing.
4. Links to other websites
Some library entries link to other websites (marked “External”), such as sunnah.com or archive.org. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply when you visit them.
5. Children
The library is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
